    In Serbia, there are 28 bank branches per 100,000 inhabitants

    Last year, Montenegro had 207 bank branches, which places it at the regional top in comparison with the number of citizens. According to the latest survey by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), whose results were obtained by the Investitor portal, last year, as many as 43.56 branches per 100,000 inhabitants operated in Montenegro, compared to, for instance, Slovenia, where that number is 29.48. In Serbia, at the same time, there were 28.13 bank branches per 100,000 inhabitants, in BiH there were 30.23 and in Croatia 32.34. In Albania, there were 20.56, in Kosovo * 16.74, and in North Macedonia 25.66 branches per 100,000 inhabitants. Interestingly, across the Balkans, only Bulgaria had more bank branches per 100,000 inhabitants than Montenegro last year, where the IMF counted 50.89 of them.
