We are building the Moravian Corridor with the Americans
The construction of the Moravian Corridor could begin in mid-2019, the Serbian government said after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation for the construction of a 110-kilometer section of the Pojate to Preljina road, with the American company Bechtel.
The Memorandum was signed by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Vice President of Bechtel, Sean Carey. The maximum value of the investment is 800 million euros, and that section will connect Cicevac, Stalac, Krusevac, Trstenik, Vranjacka Banja, Kraljevo and Cacak, with 500,000 inhabitants and 25,000 companies.
„The Moravian Corridor will connect road corridors 10 and 11, and the preparation of the project lasted for two years. This is the first official document that has been signed and the works should start in 2019 and the action plan and the technical documentation should be prepared by January next year,“ said Zorana Mihajlovic.
