The program of reforms from 2019 to 2021 presented to businessmen

Representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Serbian Ministry of Finance have presented the Economic Reform Programme (ERP) and preliminary list of structural reforms from 2019 to 2021 to businessmen.

The Serbian government will have to adopt the final ERP proposal as well as the list of structural reforms, as the most important strategic document in the economic dialogue with the European Commission and EU members, by the end of January next year.

Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali has said that ERP „provides an opportunity for the economy to say via dialogue what it expects from reforms, in order to be even more successful and more competitive and to increase the gross domestic product (GDP).“

„The program of economic reforms is adopted by the EU as well, this is their eighth cycle, and Serbia’s first, and it will include economy, civil society and trade union in drafting of that document,” Mali has said. He has pointed out that high GDP growth policy will continue, and this year a growth of 4.4 percent is expected, while growth of 3.5 percent is expected in the next year.
