SCC: By 31 January next year, employers can join the dual education system

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) reminded employers today that by 31 January next year, through the SCC, they could join the dual education system.

In 2019, the implementation of legal solutions will begin that regulate, in great detail, the dual education system in order to adapt the secondary vocational education to the needs of the economy, reduce the unemployment rate among young people up to 25 years of age and strengthen the competitiveness of the Serbian economy on the regional and global level.

The press release says that the plan is currently being developed for the enrollment of secondary school students in the academic year 2019/2020 based on the dual education model, implemented by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

In order to be included in the dual education model in the school year 2019/2020, employers should fill in the declarations of intent and submit them to the competent regional office of the SCC by no later than 31 January 2019.

Based on the collected declarations of intent, the SCC will formulate a Proposal on the needs of the economy for future personnel and submit it to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development in order to decide on the structure of enrollment in secondary schools for the dual education model.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development will adopt the final decision by calling the competition for the enrollment of students in secondary schools expected in late April 2019.
