Prices in restaurants in February 16.5 percent higher than a year ago

Hospitality services in February were 16.5 percent more expensive than a year ago, said the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Food increased in price by 17.8 percent, hot and cold appetizers by 20 percent, ready meals by 13.1 percent, stews by 21.6 percent.

Prices of alcoholic beverages increased by 14.4 percent, non-alcoholic ones by 15.8 percent, and overnight stays by 14.4 percent.

The total price increase in Vojvodina was higher than at the national level and it amounted to 21.2 percent, with food increasing by 25.2 percent, alcoholic beverages by 17.5 percent, and non-alcoholic beverages by 21 percent, while overnight stays increased the least by 5.5 percent.
