„Obedient“ taxi drivers will NOT block „Gazela“ Bridge
Aleksandar Bjelic of the „Autotaksi udruzenje Srbije“ announced that protest of taxi drivers in Belgrade will be held on Monday from 2 pm to 5 pm, and that the „Gazela“ Bridge will not be blocked. Bjelic stated for „Prva“ TV station that taxi drivers will accept an invitation from the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic for talks, but the date of the meeting is still unknown, as it does not depend on the taxi drivers. „We have listened to Vucic, thus colleagues from Novi Sad, Nis, Kragujevac and Pancevo will not come to Belgrade“, Bjeljic said, inviting Prime Minister Ana Brnabic to show „where those loopholes in the law are, as taxi drivers have proven that they do not exist“. According to him, taxi drivers will move along the standard router, Omladinskih Brigada Street, Mihailo Pupin Boulevard, Branko’s Bridge, Nemanjina Street and the entrance to Savska Street.
