Say goodbye to plastic: First major retailer in Belgrade introduces PAPER bags
Aman is the first retail chain in Belgrade to introduce paper bags instead of plastic bags. As a reminder, according to the decision of city authorities, as of next year, it will no longer be possible to buy plastic bags in stores in Belgrade. „This retail chain honored our decision a few months in advance, showing how responsible companies behave towards the society in which they operate. We thus care for our future and the children that come after us. Suffice it to say that a plastic bag takes about 200 years to decompose in nature and if we consider how much such bags are used in Serbia, I think we should be aware of the crime we commit against nature,“ said Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic. He stated that he expected such bags to start being used in other retail chains in the upcoming period as well.
