Nonprofessionals are knocking down price of accounting
Services of a flat-rate accountant will cost at least EUR50 a month starting from next year, and for small legal entities – EUR400. This applies to all those who hired a member of Accounting Chamber of Serbia.
This association has adopted a Rule book on baselines for evaluating accounting services in Serbia. The goal is to increase confidence in work of this profession, but also to introduce order.
The Rule book will be applied by members of the Chamber, but they are also obliged to apply Code of Ethics and all applicable laws and by-laws.
We want the country to provide support in order to increase level of this important profession, as well as that Law on Accounting defines who can keep business records, says Snezana Mitrovic, President of Accounting Chamber. .
Unfortunately, today it happens in practice that value of accounting services is knocked down by nonprofessional and unqualified accountants, as this job can be done by anyone. The state suffers most damage from this kind of work.
Bookkeeping for middle legal entities will cost EUR1.000 a month, and for „big“ EUR1,500. Members of the Chamber will charge EUR5 for a payroll calculation per employee.
