German Continental opens factory near Novi Sad: Jobs for 400 people
The German company Continental has opened the factory for electronic car devices in Kac, near Novi Sad, in which EUR 140 million was invested.
Construction of the 30,000-square-meter factory began in June 2021 and it will initially employ about 400 people.
The plan of the Continental’s management is to invest more than 150 million euros in the new factory and employ 1,500 more people.
The factory’s export is expected to exceed 1 billion euros in two years, while the forecast is that after three years of operation it will exceed 2 billion euros.
CEO of Continental Automotive Serbia, Sasa Coringa, has said that it is a great success that the „Made in Serbia“ trademark will be placed on the solutions designed by Serbian experts, which are installed in the most modern cars in the world.
“It is time to start producing solutions and selling them in millions of copies. This leads us to becoming one of the biggest exporters from Serbia,“ Coringa said.
