30th Jubilee Kopaonik Business Forum begins

The gathering of economic experts and businessmen begins on the most famous Serbian mountain – 30th Kopaonik Business Forum, where more than 1,500 participants from the country and the world are expected to appear.

The forum lasts until March 8, and the central topic is „Resilience of the economy in uncertain times – Key challenges for Serbia and the Western Balkans“.

More than 200 speakers will include Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and ministers, Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Jorgovanka Tabakovic, representatives of the Fiscal Council, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and other financial institutions, domestic experts and businessmen, ambassadors of the EU and US countries, representatives of the academic community, but also economic delegations from Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Hungary.

34 panels and three plenary sessions will be held, and the panels are, among other things, dedicated to sustainable growth and the macroeconomic situation in Serbia and the Western Balkans, the initiative „Digital Serbia“, and the participants will discuss the economic agenda of the Open Balkans initiative, cashless economy.

The participants will also analyse the insurance sector in the context of the economic crisis, as well as the resilience of the Serbian economy from the investors’ point of view, energy security, environmental protection, infrastructure connections, and they will also present sectoral analyses related to banking, agriculture, education, tax administration reform, digitalization of public administration, BIO4 initiative.

There will also be talk about the role of women in business, a special panel is dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises, and a presentation of research on the corporate reputation index has been announced.

Kopaonik Business Forum this year marks a significant jubilee – three decades of existence. During these 30 years, more than 15,000 participants passed through the Forum, and more than 400 panels were held, with about 4,000 panellists participating.

The Forum is organized by the Union of Economists of Serbia, and NLB Komercijalna banka is the general sponsor of the 30th jubilee  Kopaonik Business Forum.
