Will Japanese design our metro?

During her conversation with newly appointed Japanese Ambassador Junichi Maruyama Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has pointed out that Serbia is interested in preliminary designs of Japan regarding construction of a metro from airport to the city.

“Our goal is to connect with neighbors and strengthen cooperation with all international partners. I hope we will sign cooperation agreements with Japanese partners in the following period, particularly in fields of air and water transport as well as in field of energy efficiency,” Mihajlovic has said.

She has pointed out that Serbia nowadays is a stable country, both politically and economically, that is successfully realizing important infrastructural projects.

“We are completing construction of Corridor 10, there is ongoing work on Corridor 11, we are improving railway and road transport and invest in airports in Serbia, minister has said, expressing satisfaction for the interest of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to participate in realization of infrastructural projects under jurisdiction of ministry that she is in charge of.
