Why are Russian companies moving their operations to Serbia?
Russian companies are moving to Serbia in increasing numbers, and the most numerous are IT companies.
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine until mid-May, 240 companies and 596 entrepreneurs have been registered in Serbia, founded by natural and legal persons from the Russian Federation, according to the data of the Business Registers Agency (APR).
These are mainly companies engaged in programming, consulting activities related to business and other management affairs, and consulting activities in the field of IT, as BIZLife was told by the APR.
The top four predominant activities, which are performed by the largest number of registered entrepreneurs whose founders are from the Russian Federation, include computer programming, consulting activities related to business and other management affairs, consulting activities in the field of information technology and specialized design activities.
