Tomorrow, medical workers to receive RSD 10,000 on their accounts

Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, has announced that healthcare workers will be paid a one-time aid of RSD 10,000 tomorrow.

122,462 employees in the healthcare system, military healthcare institutions, department of corrections, social welfare institutions, whose work is financed from the budget, the Sports Institute, the Healthcare Institute of Serbian Railway Employees will receive assistance.

This is a continuation of continuous support to healthcare workers, but also a way for the state to thank them once again for everything they do for their country and citizens, said Mali, as it is cited in a press release.

„When the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020, one of the first measures we adopted was a new increase in salaries for medical workers by 10 more percent. Then, in November of the same year, all the employees in healthcare institutions received a one-time aid of RSD 10,000,“ said the Minister of Finance.

He added that, as of January 1, 2021, the salaries of healthcare workers were increased again by five percent, and they got another increase of eight percent from January 1 this year.
