Government adopts many regulations: Support to the economy and higher salaries for couriers, typists…

The Government of Serbia has adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Civil Servants and State Employees, as well as several regulations aimed at supporting the economy and creating jobs.

The proposed decisions regarding the salaries of civil servants and state employees improve the position of employees whose jobs require secondary vocational education, it was stated after the government session.

This creates the conditions for the valuation of accompanying technical support services in state bodies to be adjusted as much as possible to the values of comparable tasks performed by civil servants with the same level of education.

Bearing in mind that one of the main goals of the government is systemic support to the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, business beginners as well as women entrepreneurs and young people, the Serbian government adopted a set of regulations as support. The programs of those regulations provided RSD 2,500,000,000 of assistance, it is stated in the press release.

Entrepreneurship incentive programs

The Regulation was adopted on Establishing the Entrepreneurship Incentive Programs through development projects in 2022, in order to encourage investments of economic entities in expanding production and strengthening competitiveness, with the aim of creating new jobs.

The funds determined by the program are non-refundable and they are granted to entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium enterprises and cooperatives.

The Regulation was adopted on the Establishment of the Entrepreneurship Development Incentive Program through financial support for business beginners in 2022.

Support for women entrepreneurs

The members of the government adopted the Regulation on the Establishment of the Entrepreneurship Development Incentive Program through financial support for women entrepreneurs and youth in 2022.

Due to the interest of businessmen, the program for 2022 envisages that the age limit for applying will be raised from 30 to 35 years.

The Regulation was adopted on Establishing the Program of a Standardized Set of Services for micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2022, which is being implemented through accredited regional development agencies, as well as the Regulation on Establishing the Program of support for business infrastructure development for 2022.

The expected effect of supporting the development of business infrastructure in Serbia is the creation of about 1,000 new jobs, the press release says.

The Regulation was also adopted on Establishing the Program of support for the work of regional innovation start-ups and smart city centres for 2022, which provides RSD 55 million for these purposes.

The Regulation was adopted on Establishing the Program of support for raising the innovation capacities of local self-government units on the territory of Serbia for 2022.
