Toll RISES IN PRICE nonetheless

The Serbian government has agreed to increase the price of tolls, by an average of 1.8 percent, stating that it is a regular procedure of adjusting the toll with the inflation rate.

„The adjustment of toll prices by 1.8 percent on average is in line with the rise in retail prices – the inflation, therefore, for the vehicles of the A category toll prices for the section Belgrade-Dimitrovgrad and Belgrade-Cacak are adjusted by RSD 10, while for the section Belgrade- Sid and Belgrade-Subotica they remain unchanged, and the situation is similar for the other categories of vehicles,“ the Government said in a statement.

At the beginning of 2021, the relevant ministry announced that tolls would not increase this year.

At the Government session, the Bill on the Ratification of the Grain Trade Convention was also adopted, in order to promote international cooperation in grain trade through the International Grains Council (IGC) as an intergovernmental organization and to contribute to market stability and improving world food security.

The members of the government also adopted the decree on the proclamation of the natural monument „Kalemegdanski rt“, which will protect „a significantly larger area“ of this special natural rarity.

The Program for the use of grants intended for projects that support the family, the strengthening of the position of women in society, population policy measures and improving the demographic situation in 2021 was also adopted.

„The program is aimed at motivating young people to stay in the country, improving and enhancing the quality of life of this population, as well as strengthening the position of women in society, which means implementing all the activities to prevent violence against women,“ the government said in a statement.
