The Microsoft Development Centre in Belgrade (MDCS) received the biggest reinforcement so far
The Microsoft Development Centre Serbia received a significant investment in form of expanding the team working on development of Azure Data service. The newly opened 60 positions represent a growth of as much as 20% for the Microsoft Development Centre, and as much as 30% for the Azure Data team working within the centre.
“Our Azure Data team is very well positioned as the primary location for research and development in Europe, which is further confirmed by this investment as well. In addition, the investment received by MDCS is now in line with the largest development centres (from America and Asia),” said Dragan Tomic, Director of the Microsoft Development Centre in Belgrade.
Pointing out that the largest number of Azure Data teams around the world is in charge only of individual parts of the scenario, Tomic says that the Serbian team is working on development of two services. “In addition to all the above, we are support in the event of work termination, which means that we manage key Azure Data services during our working hours, and that is a great responsibility and honour for us. We are definitely setting trends for the Azure Data solution”, pointed out Tomic.
The new investment is an occasion for Microsoft Development Centre to invite new quality candidates for employment from Serbia and the region, as well as all experts living abroad who want to return and continue their IT career in Serbia.
