The Chinese are officially taking over RTB Bor on 18 December
The Chinese company Zijin will officially take over the Mining-Smelting Complex (RTB) Bor on 18 December, and current CEO Blagoje Spaskovski will remain in the company for three more years under the contract, Spaskovski announced, as reported by Solaris Media.
At a ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the Mountain Climbers’ Shelter on Stol Mountain, he said that he would continue „to try to contribute to the development of both RTB and the Town of Bor“. „Chinese friends and new owners of RTB will help us, among other things, modernize and enrich the Museum of Mining and Metallurgy at the international level, and there are realistic prospects to build a special museum building,“ Spaskovski said.
He added that he was proud of his previous work and that he was convinced that RTB and Bor would achieve enormous development in every respect in the next five-six years.
