Street next to Leskovac Stadium is twice as expensive as estimated value

Although the estimated value of the construction of the new street next to the stadium in Leskovac was RSD 40.8 million, it will cost the citizens of Leskovac RSD 95.9 million including VAT.

This is stated in the tender documentation, which also states that the project was given to the GAT company based in Novi Sad, which also performs works on the stadium itself.

Apart from the internal infrastructure of the stadium in Leskovac, which is almost completed, what remains to be done is the construction of the access roads to the stadium from all four sides, and although the estimated value of these works was 40.8 million, they will cost more than twice as much.

The project of building the street at the tender was awarded to GAT from Novi Sad, the company that also builds the stadium, and in addition to that company, the group of bidders consists of the company Profit put from the village of Badince.

It is precisely in the tender documentation that the bidder pointed to the increase in prices between the project design period and the determination of design prices and valid prices at the time of preparation and submission of the bid, and that it was decided that the new price excluding VAT should be RSD 81.3 million.

Mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, also gave an estimate of the cost of the new street surrounding the stadium, pointing out in August last year that it would cost RSD 60 million to construct the streets.
