So far, RSD 1.2 billion paid for land lots on metro route

At the location of the metro depot, it was necessary to resolve property and legal relations, and to register 72 hectares as public property. Around 80 percent of these areas are public property of the city.

So far, the owners have been paid compensation of RSD 1.2 billion, said Belgrade’s Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic, as reported by Beoinfo.

“Of the 749 cadastral parcels required for the construction of the depot, so far 645 have been registered as public property. The payment of RSD 300 million is being prepared, and RSD 1.4 billion more is planned to be paid in 2022,“ said Goran Vesic.

The construction of the metro began, Beoinfo recalls, late last year with the filling of the terrain at Makisko polje.

„So far, the development of the subsoil on the area of three hectares has been completed, and the terrain is being cleared on nine more hectares of land,“ Vesic said.

As he specified, the construction of the embankment was completed on 2.2 hectares and crushed stone was poured on more than half a hectare.

According to him, in the meantime, the Directorate for Development Land and Construction of Belgrade has signed a contract for the preparation of technical documentation for the construction of roads and hydro-technical infrastructure for the purpose of the metro.

The total length of these roads is about six kilometres and it will connect the streets of Andy Warhol and Bora Stankovic with the bypass on the Sava Highway.

„In addition to roads, primary collectors are designed for atmospheric water with a total length of 6.5 kilometres, as well as over five kilometres of collectors that will take treated atmospheric water from the location of Makisko polje,“ Vesic said.
