Putin decorated Serbian actor with the Medal of Pushkin
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Russian state award, the Medal of Pushkin to Serbian actor Milos Bikovic.
The award was presented at a ceremonial reception, organized on the occasion of the Unity Day, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, where Biković expressed gratitude in Russian language to the Russian President and congratulated the Unity Day.
On this holiday Putin traditionally presents recognitions for contribution to strengthening of the unity of Russian nation, and foreign citizens also receive awards for special contributions in strengthening peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding among nations, preservation and promotion of Russian language abroad.
The Medal of Pushkin was founded in 1999 and is presented for merits in the field of culture, enlightenment, literature and art, as well as a major role in preserving cultural heritage and bringing cultures and nations closer to each other.
