Protest during curfew: „Komsije sa Dorcola“ against „night works“ (VIDEO)

A group of people from the association „Komsije sa Dorcola“ gathered at the corner of Venizelosova Street and Gundulicev venac at the time of curfew to protest against the construction of a trolleybus network that continued during the state of emergency, N1 TV reports. Several police vehicles are on site. So far, none of the citizens have been detained, but police officers are taking video recordings of them. They oppose the works, which began on 27 April, being done during „curfew“ and at night. In a press release, the civic association „Komsije sa Dorcola“ „warns the public that the works on the construction of the trolleybus network in Donji Dorcol are being done during curfew and that the competent authorities refuse to protect the citizens of this part of Belgrade who are against the construction, protecting, instead, the interests of the contractor“. „The works in this part of Belgrade are carried out exclusively during the curfew and residents have been trying for days to point out numerous irregularities to the authorities. It all culminated on 27 April when the ATM BG d.o.o. company resumed construction works in Venizelosova and Zorza Klemansoa Streets immediately after curfew, and continued them throughout the night,“ the press release says.
