President announces – another Serbian city to get BYPASS
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced that a bypass would be constructed around Uzice.
He stated that it was „not an ordinary road, but in the profile of a motorway“ and that the construction of the bypass would be initiated by the end of October at the latest.
A road towards Kadinjaca and Bajina Basta is also planned, and its price will be EUR 50 million.
Vucic pointed out that the decision was made to build a 4.85-kilometer bypass around Uzice, because of congestions and pollution in the city, and that the works would cost between EUR 25 and 30 million.
He announced that the motorway to Pakovrac would be completed by the end of this year, and to Pozega by mid-2022, and that, as he said, „from there it will go from Uzice to Kotroman and see what can be done for Nova Varos, Priboj. „
He added that „because of investors, it is important to connect parts of our country with motorways and to go towards Visegrad and Montenegro.“
