Parental allowance rises: RSD 345,000 for the first child, RSD 2.7 million for the fourth

The parental allowance for the birth of the first child in Serbia has been increased to RSD 345,398.70 since January 1 this year, said the Ministry of Family Care and Demography.

The amounts of the parental allowance and the lump sum for the purchase of child equipment, the threshold for exercising the right to a child allowance and the amount of a child allowance are adjusted twice a year, on January 1 and July 1, in accordance with the inflation in the previous six months.

Parental allowance for the second child, which is paid in 24 instalments, now amounts to RSD 306,388.75, for the third child, which is paid in 120 instalments, RSD 1,838,332.53, and for the fourth child RSD 2,757,498.79 and it is paid in 120 instalments.

One-time assistance for the birth of a second and third child for children born on January 1, 2023 and later amounts to RSD 115,132.90, while the lump sum for the procurement of child equipment amounts to RSD 6,383.10.
