More than 100,000 people visited famous cave last year

Stopica Cave, the most visited speleological site in Serbia, was visited by more than 100,000 people last year, which is an increase of 10%.

Recently, Stopica Cave got a new 60-meter trail, which leads above the waterfall “Spring of Life” to the Hall with rimstone pools, so all visitors who visit Stopica Cave from January this year will have the opportunity to visit the natural creations in which the water swirls.

This part of the trail is rich in cave formations. With the new 60 meters of walking trails, their total length is 400 meters.

“The Tourist Organization of Zlatibor is dedicated to the landscaping of the cave. Every year, this natural wealth of the Zlatibor region and the most visited speleological site in Serbia receives a new attraction that completes the offer of this extremely popular tourist site: an access road, parking space, access walking paths, entrance gate, ticket office, paths through the Light and Dark Hall to the waterfall ‘Spring of Life’, as well as paths above the rimstone pools and lighting,“ the press release reads.

The guards and guides of this cave take care of the safety of visitors, tourist tours, cleanliness and preservation of the protected natural resource, and recently the mobile app “Stopica cave – audio guide” has also become available to visitors.

Stopica Cave is located 19 kilometres from the centre of Zlatibor.
