No one wants a spa in eastern Serbia, another sale FAILS

The third attempt to sell the company Romulijana in bankruptcy, i.e. Gamzigradska banja, was not successful because there were no interested buyers.

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency has announced that the initial price of the spa near Zajecar was RSD 103.2 million.

Its property consists of 12 buildings on about 5,000 square meters.

The facilities include the Kastrum Hotel, sports fields, as well as a spring of curative water near Crni Timok that has been used for more than a century.

So far two failed sales

At the first failed sale, Gazimestanska banja was offered at an initial price of RSD 91.3 million. Romulija, i.e. the spa, owns 12 buildings with a total area of more than 5,100 square meters.

The facilities include the Kastrum Hotel, sports fields, as well as a spring of curative water near Crni Timok that has been used for more than a century.

It did not find a buyer even in last year’s second attempted sale. The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency stated at the time that no one was interested in participating in the public sale where the spa was offered at an initial price of RSD 63.9 million.

Multiple thermal mineral springs

Gamzigradska Banja is located in eastern Serbia, 220km southeast of Belgrade, and 11km west of Zajecar. It lies at the altitude of 160 meters in the meander valley of the lower course of the Crni Timok River, on its banks, not far from the Zajecar – Paracin main road, which provides a good traffic connection in all directions.

It is surrounded by forested hills and represents a very pleasant and quiet corner for healing, rest, recreation, sports and fishing, according to the website of this spa.

There are several thermal mineral water springs here, which are considered alkaline – with a moderate temperature.
