New director of Serbian Fiat, key role for factory in Kragujevac

The Stellantis company has announced that Jovica Jovanovic has been appointed industrial director in Serbia and that he will be directly in charge of the production site of Stellantis in Kragujevac.

Jovanovic held the position of Global Director of Process Engineering and later Regional Director for Europe of Business Units of Pressing and Tool Construction.

„He will head the factory in Kragujevac and will be in charge of Stellantis’ comprehensive industrial presence in Serbia on the path to its new sustainable future,“ the press release reads.

Director of Stellantis’ affiliate company FCA Serbia and director of the global corporate office of Stellantis, Silvia Vernetti, said that Stellantis announced on April 28 that it would install a new electric platform in Kragujevac for the production of compact vehicles, starting from mid-2024.

„This will help the company be on track to achieve 100% of the sale of the mix of battery-powered electric vehicle in Europe by the end of this decade and to reach zero carbon emissions by 2038,“ Vernetti said.
