NES: From now on, the unemployed must apply and come to the interview in person

The National Employment Service of Serbia (NES) has announced that, in accordance with the Government’s decree on mitigation of epidemiological measures, regular reporting of the unemployed, as well as individual interviews with the unemployed, will be conducted exclusively directly, in person in the future.

The NES said that the obligation to respect all epidemiological measures, such as wearing protective masks and maintaining physical distance, was still in force.

All the other activities of the NES, which have been performed on a reduced scale so far, as well as those that were suspended due to the pandemic, will be organized in accordance with the new epidemiological measures.

In the future, the NES will enable its beneficiaries to apply in person, by mail or electronically to the unemployment register, to submit a request for unemployment benefits, as well as requests for the assessment of working capacity, for issuing certificates from the unemployment register, for participation in the measures of active employment policies, for issuing work permits to foreigners and for issuing opinions regarding the Program for resolving redundancies in companies.
