
Import and export growth, deficit around 3.8 billion euros
In April 2022, goods worth about EUR 2.2 billion were exported from Serbia, which is an increase of 23.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and goods worth about EUR 3.2 billion were imported, which is an increase of 38.1 percent compared to the same month of 2021, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.
Serbia’s total foreign trade for the period January-April 2022 was worth about EUR 20.6 billion and it was higher by 37.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
During that period, export was worth 8.4 billion euros, an increase of 27.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the January-April period, import was worth about 12.2 billion euros , which is an increase of 45.8% compared to the same period last year.
