AirSerbia flies to Trieste from today
With today’s flight at 6.05 pm, Air Serbia opens a new route to Trieste, the company announced.
Flights to the fourth destination of Serbia’s national airline in Italy, in addition to Rome, Milan and Venice, are planned to take place twice a week.
The inaugural flight will be welcomed by a traditional greeting with „water cannons“ at Ronchi Dei Legionari International Airport, which is located near Trieste and covers an area of about five million people, including neighboring Slovenia, Austria and Croatia.
„We are pleased to continue to expand our network by strengthening our presence in Italy and we are confident that new flights will contribute to even better connectivity and improvement of commercial and tourist activity between our two countries. We are particularly pleased that, after an 11-year-break, we are connecting Belgrade with Trieste, a city with numerous Serbian diaspora,“ said Bojan Arandjelovic, Senior Manager for Planning and Optimization of Flight Schedule of Air Serbia.
