IMF approves new stand-by arrangement for Serbia
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a stand-by arrangement for Serbia in the amount of 290 percent of the quota of our country in the IMF for 24 months, in support of the agreed economic program, the NBS said.
The new arrangement, as added, is aimed at preserving macroeconomic and financial stability, strengthening the economy’s resilience to the energy crisis through reforms in the domestic energy sector and protecting the most vulnerable categories and encouraging high, ecological, inclusive and sustainable growth in the medium term.
At the same time, the IMF Executive Board positively assessed the results achieved under the third review of the Policy Coordination Instrument, it is added.
