    Higher utility bills as of February: Heating and water prices rise in Belgrade

    From February 1, residents of Belgrade will pay 12.5% more for water than before, while the price of district heating will be higher by 5%.

    Thus, a cubic meter of water from next month will cost RSD 66.80 instead of the current RSD 59.46, while heating per square meter will increase in price from the current RSD 119.39 to RSD 125.22. All the amounts include VAT.

    According to the data published on its website by the PUC Beogradski vodovod i kanalizacija, from February, wastewater disposal will also be more expensive, and the new price for the residents of the capital city will be RSD 27.04 per cubic meter, instead of the current RSD 24.04.

    The fixed fee called operational readiness of the system will also rise in price. It will be RSD 147.02 from February, instead of the current RSD 130.68, reports N1.

    „At the session of the Supervisory Board held on December 1, 2022, PUC Beogradski vodovod i kanalizacija adopted the Decision on the price for delivered water and wastewater disposal, which will apply from February 1, 2023. For all user categories, the price of delivered water, wastewater disposal and operational readiness of the system has been increased by 12.5 percent, which will enable regular water supply to all consumers who are supplied with water by the Belgrade water company in the upcoming period, as well as the smooth operation of the wastewater disposal system,“ the company said.
