Good news for those who did not sell the shares of Belgrade Airport

Citizens who have not sold their free shares of Nikola Tesla Airport can soon expect to receive a dividend on their accounts.

It will amount to RSD 1,455.

The French company Vinci, having paid a one-off concession fee of 501 million euros, took over the management of Belgrade Airport. The money will be distributed to all shareholders in proportion to the share owned: the state will receive EUR 417 million, and small shareholders will receive the remaining 85 million euros, reports the daily  Vecernje novosti.

The exact date of distribution is not known yet, but unofficially it is expected in two to three months.

Nikola Tesla Airport has a total of 35.03 million shares, 1.26 percent of which are its own property. The rest, a total of 34.58 million, is included in the calculation for the distribution of this concession fee. This, in practice, means that the value per share will be EUR 14.49 gross (about RSD 1,713). That is the amount the state will receive per share. Citizens, however, will receive this amount reduced by a tax of 15 percent, which amounts to EUR 12,31. Based on the current official exchange rate, that is RSD 1,455 per share.

The payment of dividends, as a distribution of a company’s profit, must always be preceded by the decision of the Shareholders’s Assembly, whose session has not yet been scheduled.
