GDP Council examines current state of economy

In order to preserve sustainable economic growth, it is extremely important to continue investing in capital projects in the field of road and railway infrastructure, it was concluded at the session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for Growth of Gross Domestic Product, chaired by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

Brnabic assessed that it was necessary to examine the current state of the Serbian economy and react in a timely manner, in order for our country to achieve the best possible economic growth this year, the statement reads.

When it comes to agricultural production, it was pointed out that all the measures were taken to ensure that subsidies were paid to agricultural producers in a timely manner, and the competent ministry revised the criteria for participation in the IPARD program, so that a larger number of registered holdings could apply for these European funds for agriculture.

At the session, it was pointed out that special attention would be paid to finding new markets for the export of domestic products.
