Freelancers CAMPING in front of the Assembly
Representatives of the Association of Internet Workers (freelancers) set up two large tents in front of the Serbian Assembly and dozens of small ones, thus blocking one traffic lane at Nikola Pasic Square.
The association organized a protest camp due to dissatisfaction with the proposed model of income taxation presented by the Serbian government, and their activities will last until April 10th.
The president of that association, Miran Pogacar, stated that they gathered to express their readiness to fight even in such cold weather, and they will remain there for three days.
„We do not agree with the proposal of the Serbian government for both the past and the future. In one case, the Government took a step forward when it comes to incomes of around EUR 460, but I think this is a problem not only for those who receive that much, but for all freelancers as well,“ Pogacar stated with Beta agency.
He said that, if necessary, they would react when the Government’s proposal enters the parliamentary proceedings, and they would not give up.
