Female volleyball players won the World Championship
Serbia women’s national volleyball team has won the World Championship in Japan, after defeating Italy 3:2 in the finals.
Serbia reached its first gold medal in history of the World Championship by defeating Italy in five sets: 21:25, 25:14, 23:25, 25:19 and 15:12.
Tijana Boskovic led Serbian team to the throne in Japan with 23 points, while Brankica Mihajlovic scored 19, and Stefana Veljkovic and Milena Rasic scored 10 each.
