Serbia can „join“ the Turkish Stream
Chairman of the Board of Directors at Public Joint Stock Company Gazprom Alexey Miller has stated that Serbia can connect to the gas pipeline going all the way to Turkey via the Black Sea.
“Yes, that is a possibility. As you know, the Turkish Stream project represents construction of two branches of the gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey, via the Black Sea. From the first branch gas will go to Turkish market. The second branch will supply countries of South and Southeast Europe with gas,” Miller has stated with the “Vecernje novosti” daily.
He has explained that it is necessary for European countries to manage reception and further transport, in order for Europe to be supplied by gas from that gas pipeline.
Miller has said that Gazprom has already signed “Road maps” on development of national gas transportation systems with ministries of Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary.
