Every other employee in Serbia earns LESS than RSD 57,810

The average salary (gross) calculated for October this year was RSD 104,039 and the average salary without taxes and contributions (net) was RSD 75,353, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today.

Median net earnings for October amounted to RSD 57,810, which means that 50 percent of employees earned earnings up to that amount.

The growth of gross salaries in the period January-October 2022, compared to the same period last year, was 14 percent in nominal terms, i.e. 2.4 percent in real terms. Net salaries increased by 13.9 percent in nominal terms and by 2.3 percent in real terms.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average gross salary for October 2022 is nominally higher by 14.2 percent, and in real terms it is lower by 0.7 percent, while the average net salary is nominally higher by 14.1 percent, and in real terms it is lower by 0.8 percent.
