    Danas: Former Education Minister to become new director of Official Gazette

    Former Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic will be the new director of the Official Gazette, the Danas daily has unofficially found out.

    As the Belgrade-based newspaper reports, Sarcevic was recently elected commissioner of the Council for Education, Science and Technology, which was formed by the Belgrade committee of the Serbian Progressive Party.

    When asked what he would do in this position, Sarcevic told the Danas daily that he would help educational institutions in several ways and that he had some new ideas, but he did not want to reveal more details.

    At the moment, he is the special adviser for education of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, and he has been in that position since the end of his ministerial term.

    Sarcevic has a long experience in education and he is known as an excellent expert on the education system. Before he entered the private education system, he worked in the state system, first as a geography teacher, and then as a principal of a state primary school.

    The term of former director of the Official Gazette, Jelena Trivan, expired and she was appointed CEO of Telekom Srpske a year ago.
