D express introduces novelties for CUSTOMERS: CARD payments to couriers made possible

Payments in cash to couriers will soon be a thing of the past, because D Express courier service has announced a market premiere as of October – the possibility of paying to couriers with cards.

This benefit was provided in cooperation and with the support of Mastercard, while Shoppster, the largest online and TV store, was the first to include this payment method when picking up shipments delivered by D Express couriers.

Expectations in the near future are that the number of vendors for whom this service will be provided will expand considerably.

What will it look like in practice?

In practice, this means that couriers on their existing devices will have an installed payment application based on the „tap on phone“ technology, which allows the acceptance of contactless payments, and customers, instead of cash, will be able to pay the entire value of the shipment with their payment card or mobile phone.

This innovation makes it possible to improve the customer experience, as customers have the opportunity to pick up their shipment at the desired delivery point, without having to prepare the exact amount of cash in advance.

It is also very important that users can be carefree when using this payment method because payments are protected in accordance with the security procedures prescribed by Mastercard.

D Express and Mastercard thus meet the needs and expectations of users for fast and convenient payments. According to the latest MasterIndex Serbia survey for 2022, 29% of respondents want to pay with cards right to the courier at the time of delivery.
