Atanaskovic: Two BILLION DINARS to support the economy
The Ministry of Economy has provided two billion dinars in non-refundable funds for four programs of financial support to businessmen, the competent minister Andjelka Atanaskovic stated.
According to her, RSD 1.55 billion have been allocated for the Support Program to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises for the procurement of equipment, and RSD 200 million for the Program for Encouraging Entrepreneurship through Development Projects.
„Furthermore, RSD 150 million have been allocated for the Program for Encouraging Entrepreneurship Development through Financial Support for Business Beginners, and this year, for the first time, we also have the Program for Encouraging Entrepreneurship Development through Financial Support for Women and Youth, for which we have set aside RSD 100 million,“ she said.
The minister explained that, in addition to the financial support program, the ministry provided a set of services that also secure something that for some is more important than money, and that is the necessary information, free training, advisory services and mentorship.
According to her, the line ministry is open to all initiatives and proposals for improving the economic environment and removing obstacles that businessmen face in their everyday business.
„That is why, together with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC), we will organize visits to local businessmen in the coming period, in order to hear their problems and find solutions together, but also to present ministry’s support programs that they will be able to use this year,“ Atanaskovic said.
The President of SCC, Marko Cadez stated that the chamber will work together with companies to define government support programs, aimed at developing high technologies in accordance with the needs of the economy, greater involvement of companies in the implementation of state and local self-government projects, as well as encouraging green building.
