Airplane performs emergency landing in Belgrade due to malfunction during flight
Due to a malfunction during the flight, the plane of the Belgian company TUI, which was flying from Santorini to Brussels, made an emergency landing at the Belgrade airport.
The plane of the Belgian company TUI made an emergency landing at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport due to a malfunction during the flight, as reported by the website Aviatica.
As the Flightradar website shows, it was Boeing 737-700 that flew on the route from Santorini (JTR) to Brussels (BRU). There were about 80 passengers onboard.
Some Serbian media have published unverified information that the plane had to interrupt the flight due to a fuel leak, but the true causes of this emergency landing are not known.
According to the route of the plane, which was announced on Flightradar, it made a turn over Tuzla and started descending towards the Belgrade airport. It made a circle above Sabac, and then landed safely in Belgrade at around 2 p.m.
