AGREED: Under these conditions we will be able to go to Greece in the summer
The Minister of Tourism Tatjana Matic and the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Greece Harris Theocharis agreed at today’s online meeting on signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism, in conditions of the COVID 19 pandemic, which will define the conditions for entry of tourists from Serbia to Greece in the period from May 1st to October 1st, 2021.
On that occasion, Minister Matic announced that it had been agreed that the Memorandum would foresee mutual recognition of electronic vaccination certificates.
„That way, the citizens of both countries who have been vaccinated will be granted entry, while PCR or antigen testing will be mandatory for citizens who have not been vaccinated.“ Furthermore, random quick tests will be done at the border,“ the minister explained.
She also mentioned that citizens who have not been able to realize replacement trips to Greece so far, and who have concluded agreements with travel agencies, will be able to do so until December 31st, 2021.
„The opening of the Greek border for our citizens during the summer season will be a symbolic picture of a complete normalization of our lives, but also yet another confirmation of deep and true friendship and extraordinary bilateral relations between Serbia and Greece,“ Matic said.
