    A monument to Stefan Nemanja on the reconstructed Sava Square was unveiled during a special ceremony, in front of the esteemed guests and a large number of gathered citizens.

    A monument to the great prefect and one of the greatest Serbian rulers was unveiled in downtown Belgrade, near the former railway station. The lights that illuminate monument to the father of Serbian statehood were solemnly and officially turned on after the speech of the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic.

    „And this monument is great because the story about us is great. And this monument is heavy because the story about us was often heavy. And it is beautiful, as beautiful as the story about us is. This monument is, therefore, and above all, a story about us. About who we were, where we were, what we did, and most of all about what we are today and what we want to become,“ the president said.

    In addition to the President, among those present were the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, numerous ministers and state officials, clergy, representatives of the Serbian Army, etc.
