
Administration workers are paid significantly more than medical and education workers
According to the latest data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, salaries in the public sector in Serbia are slightly higher than salaries outside the public sector.
The average November net salary in the public sector amounted to RSD 78,530, and outside it RSD 78,242.
The highest salaries in the public sector were received by the employees of public state-owned enterprises, whose November average was RSD 88,860, which is significantly higher than the average of employees in the local administration, which amounted to RSD 66,145.
On average, workers in public local enterprises received RSD 70,464.
As for administration workers, their average salary at the state level was RSD 85,654, and at the provincial level RSD 87,482.
The salaries of employees in health and social care, where the average of RSD 77,610 was recorded and in education and culture with an average of RSD 72,867 were lower than the total November national average, which amounted to RSD 78,326.
