ZERO OUT OF THREE: Nobody wants MSK

There were no interested parties in Kikinda based “Metanolsko-sircetni kompleks” (MSK) at the second tender that ended on August 10th, even though the enterprise is now having profitable business, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy Dragan Stevanovic has said.

He has stated with “Prva” TV that talks with potential buyers of MSK were conducted in the Ministry and they also received letters of interest, but “no one applied for the tender.”

„MSK’s ongoing business activities are profitable, so in medium term security for both workers and state exists,” Stevanovic has said.

He has added that the long-term solution is privatization of MSK, and work will continue in that direction.

At the end of May the Ministry of Economy published a tender for sale of 99.9 percent of capital in MSK, which initial price was EUR24.4 million and which is 50 percent of total estimated value.

Domestic and foreign firms that deal with chemicals and had revenues of at least EUR150 million in the last business year could compete for the acquisition of MSK.
