With the help of Emirates to better river transport

Minister of Transport Zorana Mihajlovic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on projects involving development of river harbours with Chairman and CEO of Dubai Port World Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.

“We are witnesses that there have been no investments in water transport in the last 40 years. In past couple of years we have brought order to the entire system of water transport – legislative activities, organization of harbour infrastructure, activities directed towards reducing the time that ships spend on the border, and today we are in a phase when we can discuss about investments,” Mihajlovic has said.

Mihajlovic has said that Memorandum with Dubai Port World is important as it is signed with the best and includes development of feasibility study how one such successful company can commence construction operations in Serbia.
