„We will not hesitate to implement restrictive measures, PROHIBITION OF MOVEMENT is the most effective measure“

Regarding the epidemiological situation in the country, the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, said at the extraordinary session in the Serbian government that the obligation to wear masks unfortunately did not bring significant results. „We have made the obligation to wear masks indoors since June 30th, but unfortunately we do not see a significant improvement in the numbers regarding that measure, and we will monitor the epidemiological situation with even greater attention,“ Brnabic said. She also pointed out that she would not shy away from restrictive measures and how she was of the same opinion as the President of Serbia, i.e. that the most effective measure would be the introduction of a curfew and a movement ban, at least during weekends. „I beg all our citizens to strictly adhere to all measures, announced not only by the Crisis Staff but also by the WHO. We will not hesitate to implement measures. My opinion is that the most effective measure would be the introduction of a curfew and a movement ban, at least during weekends, but we are trying to have a different approach this time because this is a fight that will last a long time. „I beg all citizens to be united in this, this is not a political battle, but a battle of all of us individually,“ the Prime Minister said.
