„We will never agree“: Requests of FCA Independent Trade Union submitted

The independent trade union of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia factory announced that it would „never agree“ with the company’s intentions to completely suspend production in the Kragujevac-based factory by sending workers abroad and dismissing workers.

A press release from the trade union says that if their demands are not fulfilled, they will take „radical measures available for trade union fight“.

The company is asked to offer workers, for whose work there is temporarily no need, the option to go on paid leave in accordance with the Labor Law, because, as it is pointed out, Fiat expresses its readiness to continue to operate in the Kragujevac-based factory.

The trade union demands that workers be sent abroad exclusively in accordance with the Act on Conditions for Sending Employees to Temporary Work Abroad and Their Protection, and not to avoid the provisions of this Act by „forcing“ workers to „voluntarily“ accept offered conditions obtained in informal forms.

„To offer incentive severance pays that cannot be lower than the standard in this area to the workers who are not ready to accept one of the two options,“ the trade union said in a press release.

The workers are told to ask Fiat for a formal offer before making their decision because the paper that is proved is not a formal offer.
