Cash registers are late, technical problems, Mali claims: E-fiscalization is going OUTSTANDINGLY

The full implementation of the Fiscalization Act began on May 1. The new model implies the use of a new hardware or software solution, and accordingly all the entities subject to e-fiscalization have the obligation to issue new fiscal receipts with a QR code, in order to continue working in accordance with the law.

However, these days, businessmen are increasingly complaining about problems in implementation – lack of cash registers, which they ordered and paid for on time, or technical difficulties.

     What are the issues?

Numerous employers, as well as entire economic groups, have contacted the Union of Employers of Serbia in recent days, pointing to the serious problem of the lack of fiscal cash registers on the market, i.e. lack of adequate hardware and software solutions for electronic fiscal devices, but also the problem with new bylaws, adopted immediately before the implementation of the Fiscalization Act.

Therefore, the Union addressed the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration, requesting that the deadline for the implementation of the Act be extended, until the technical and other conditions necessary for its full implementation are met.

Even before the beginning of the implementation of the solution, market vendors requested the postponement, and these days transport companies are also pointing out the great technical difficulties, which is why they are also asking for a delay in fiscalization until the conditions are met.

Employers point out that the period left for adjustment was not sufficient, considering that the technical documentation for ESIR had changed and that the last changes concerning advance payment invoices were not introduced before March 2022. Furthermore, the first fiscal cash registers were available at the beginning of the year.
