Vucic: We will have to import labour force
In one year Serbia will absolutely be the most attractive country in the region for investments, and in years that are upon us we will have to import workers, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has stated today, following the presentation ceremony of employment contracts to top 100 graduates of all medical faculties in Serbia.
Vucic has said that young people are the essence of economic progress, as state invests in their education so that they could remain in the country, but in two to three years we will not have anyone to employ.
“We will have to import labour force. My question is – where will we import them from? We will have to import them from region, as that is the only option. Will people from Moldova come to our country”, Vucic has begged the question and pointed out that data for the first quarter shows a decrease in unemployment to 11.5 percent.
“In one year we will absolutely be the most attractive country in the region, outside the EU members, even when it comes to salaries, Vucic has stated.
President has also stated that it is not possible to completely prevent human capital flight.
“It is not possible to completely prevent human capital flight, those are fairy tales as those are global processes and things that cannot be stopped, Vucic says.
